The Floodgates Open!

We have been inundated with emails since our post on Friday evening, and our apologies for not replying to all of you right away, but we will in due course.

We wanted to get this post up here ASAP, and it includes contributions from people who worked with Damelin in a senior capacity, and also from an old (former) friend.

"Dealing with him was an absolute nightmare. The man has a God complex. He acts like he’s doing you a favour by working with you, but really, he’s just positioning himself to have all the power. He rewrites agreements, shifts goalposts, and if you call him out, he turns nasty. At first I thought it was just business, but no this is how he operates with everyone. He can’t function unless he’s controlling everything." Olivia T, ******* – Former Client
I was self-employed and worked with him for a while. He had no respect for boundaries. He’d demand I be available at all hours and then act like I was the problem when I pushed back. Then, when it came to payments, surprise surprise delays, ‘accounting issues’, empty promises. I had to threaten legal action to get my own money. He’s one of those people who sees others as disposable. I hope more people come forward about his shady practices. Rachel C, Newcastle – Former Contractor
Damelin doesn’t trust anyone. Not even his own senior team. He has to be copied into every email, he micromanages to the point of insanity, and the second he feels like he’s losing control, he turns vindictive. The guy thrives on chaos. He WANTS people to be scared of him. And the worst part? It works I finally left after realising nothing would ever change while he was in charge. Liam D, Cardiff – Former Senior Manager
Knew ED before he was ‘successful’. Back then, he was just as controlling, just as manipulative, just not as powerful. Once he got into business, it was like his worst traits got amplified. He can’t have normal relationships everyone in his life is either a tool or a threat. If you’re useful to him, he’ll keep you around. The second you’re not? You’re out. That’s not just how he treats employees, that’s how he treats everyone. Even his so-called ‘friends’. **** Former Friend & Confidant of ED
